The Kishwaukee Valley Road bridge replacement of the Kishwaukee River was completed in June 2010.  One of the many challenges included protection of the waterway during construction, due to Iowa Darter fish migration.  The bridge was a complete reconstruction during a 4 1/2 month road closure.  Illinois Constructors Corporation received the only Contractor of the Year Award from the McHenry County Department of Transportation in 2010.
